Various types of training programs are being conducted to increase the efficiency and quality of officers/employees appointed in the State Disaster Response Force. Basic training which is conducted in various wings of NDRF. Officers/employees appointed in the State Disaster Response Force are given advance training from various institutions in which :
- TOT/MOT (CSSR/MFR) TOT (Teacher of Trainer) MOT (Master of Trainer)
- TOT / MOT (C.B.R.N. - Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear)
- Scuba diving training program for search and rescue work
- Borewell Rescue Training Program for Borewell Rescue work
- Rope rescue training program for search and rescue work in high rise buildings
In addition to the above training, training programs are being conducted through mock drills at Corps Headquarters. Disaster related training programs are being conducted regularly in schools, colleges and other government/non-government institutions. Under the program of the Government of India, a 12-days training program of 10200 Aapda Mitras is being conducted at the State Disaster Response Force Headquarters in collaboration with SDMA, UP under the direction of NDMA, in which about 8364 Aapda Mitras have been trained.
