Introduction



The total geographical area of ​​Uttar Pradesh is 240.93 lakh hectares. It is hit by various types of disasters every year. About 30% of its area (about 73.06 lakh hectares) is affected by heavy floods. Simultaneously, 58 out of 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh are in high-risk seismic zones and a large amount of agricultural land is affected by drought. Along with this, there is a possibility of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) disaster, Covid 19 and many man-made disasters like train accident, bridge collapse, building collapse, drowning incidents etc.

In future, Uttar Pradesh may become more prone to disaster due to various factors like changing demographics, social/economic status, unplanned urbanization, development in high risk areas, climate change, geological hazards.

Keeping in mind the above disasters, relief and rescue work by the order of Chief Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Government Home (Police) Section-16 Number-2963/6-PO-16-2016- 1100(6)/2013 Lucknow dated 28.11.2016 As per the provisions of the National Disaster Management Act 2005 of the Government of India in Uttar Pradesh, the Uttar Pradesh Disaster Management Authority was constituted and in compliance with the directions given under the National Disaster Management Policy 2009 and the National Disaster Management Plan, the State Disaster Response The force was formed on 28 November 2016.

In the first phase, three companies have been formed by government's order number 2749/G-PO-16-2017-1100(06)/2017 TC dated 17.08.2017 and in the second phase government's order number number-1/2019/1512/G-PO -16-2019-1100(06)/2013 TC dated 18.07.2019 three companies have been formed.


Land and building :- Allotment of land (27.653 hectare) for the construction of State Disaster Response Force in Village Noornagar Bhadarsa, Police Station- Bijnor, Tehsil Sarojininagar, District Lucknow through order number 610/DLRC/Pern/16 dated 16.02.2016 of District Magistrate Lucknow Has been done. On which the residential / non-residential buildings of the State Disaster Response Force are currently being constructed by the Uttar Pradesh State Construction Corporation. In which 450 capacity barracks, warehouse, Motor Transport Branch, 16 of Type-2 and 72 Type-3 houses have been built. Remaining Dog Kennel, Training Block, Communication Block, QuarterMaster Branch, Company Office, Quarter Guard, Canteen, Hospital are presently under construction. Road, electricity, water system is operating smoothly.
